depressed. demoralised. drained.

teaching lately has been such a drain lately. especially for the two classes that have been giving me problems lately. even had a fever and thus a wasted weekend because of spending extra time scolding a class.

for the first of the two, they do not even respond to me. to the extent that the hod has had to intervene. though some how he heard how i spent a certain portion of that particular class's break scolding them. i've yet to see them again. but i hope things will be better. plus, they've a test this week.

and for the latter, the do respond, abeit slowly. really slowly. they took 45 minutes today, not counting the fact that even when i started they still carried on yapping. i was even contemplating whether to keep them back after school for an extra period. everytime they just yakyakyak. when i stare at them, they tone down... after a while. and then they carry on yakyakyaking again. do they even take their classes seriously? they claim to do so. but i doubt it. they're just giving me model answers to shut me up. why? simply because actions speak louder than words. what i'm teaching them at the moment will be extremely abstract to them, more so than the graphs that they've been learning for the past week and a half, which only a rare few manage to comprehend this so-called alien aspect of mathematics. what more the gradient???

i need help. please.

can't you just shut up???

kids these days... they can yak and yak and yak.. bringing new meaning to the term motormouth. in fact, dare i use a more extreme term, machinegunmouths, which probably'd still be too inadequate an adjective.

for every period, for two of the classes i take, i spend at least half of it waiting, wishing for some semblance of silence, a hint of tranquility, a hope of peace, only to find none appearing, not even in the distant horizon.

to the extent that to go through 4 short questions becomes a trial in itself.

i've implemented a 1 to 1 exchange system. for every second they make me wait for a conducive environment, i take back one more second from recess/after school. let's see how this works. otherwise it'll upgrade to 2 for 1.. and maybe, even, just to best a certain well known pizza chain, 3 for 1...

homework? that's another story...

i dream of a better tomorrow... where chickens can cross roads and not have their motives questioned...

life lately.. what life? hmm.. nothing really to blog about, nothing thought provoking or worthy of a rant.. maybe.. hmm...

there was this stupid owner of a 5-series who dosen't know what a stop line is and almost crashed into me at vivocity, but that's another nerve racking story that i don't care to go over, or remember for that matter. just another case of retarded singapore driver syndrome as far as im concerned...

well.. the past few days have been going around following the hallowed traditions of ages past, extorting money from choiceless adults, whether consenting or unconsenting, in exchange for four character chinese phrases...

i did get the chance to catch a movie though, kungfu dunk, and i must admit it's a nice change from all the horror, blood and gorey stuff that's been going around lately.. the show's good, but jay chou is like over emo lor.

otherwise, it's all prepping for iphileou at safra mt. faber on friday and back to school on wed!! busy week ahead...
